Nana Akufo-Addo, the presidential candidate of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), has ruled out foul play in the collapse of the stage that he was standing on as he addressed a rally in Kumasi Sunday afternoon.
The NPP presidential candidate said that although he took a fall as a result of the collapse, he’s feeling just fine and he has been given a clean bill of health by fellow NPP man and medical practitioner Dr. Addo-Kufuor.
Akufo-Addo was addressing an Ashanti Regional rally when the stage caved in, sending the NPP candidate and two other party members tumbling to the ground.
Akufo-Addo reported feeling momentarily dazed when he fell.
The incident, which occurred after a heavy downpour, interrupted the rally but Akufo-Addo reportedly recovered and finished his speech.
